Hawklands Bird Of Prey Centre
Hawklands visitors will be spellbound by Sharon's birds and their spectacular flying displays which can be seen on most days. Children often get the opportunity to help with the displays and stroke some of the friendly hawks and owls.
The displays run twice a day, however there are NO displays on Mondays (except on Bank Holidays) - please phone to check availability.
Birds of prey with their sharp hooked beaks and talons are one of nature's ulimate predators. Most hunt for their prey over ground or in the air and some hunt in water. Others favour Carrion and scavenge, and some like the Caracara (who is supposed to be flightless) will simply take whatever they can come across!
Cows do not have teeth on their upper jaw. They wrap their tongues around grass and pull food into their mouths
